Not much needs to be said about this upcoming film. Steven Spielberg. Daniel Day-Lewis. Abe Lincoln.
Scripted by playwright Tony Kushner, the film is based on the Lincoln biography Team of Rivals.
Spielberg has said his film will focus on the last few months of Lincoln’s life including his abolition of slavery and the end of the Civil War. It looks to be more of a character study of Lincoln and his political relationships rather than a Civil War canon ball firing epic.
Release date is sometime this fall. Just in time for Oscar season. And the election.
